We are so excited to get the summer started with the 2nd Annual ONE PEACE charity art exhibit.
The weekend will be a great way for families to spend time together and have fun with art for a good cause. The weekend will include a hands-on art project, DJ’s, live music and dance performance, live screenprinting, food trucks and art exhibition including an installation from the students of Short Avenue Elementary School, Crenshaw High School and Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual & Performing Arts.
The ONE PEACE exhibit features new offerings from emerging and established artists, including:
Bernadette Bayot (Philippines/Hawaii)
Ronda Brown (Los Angeles)
Eric Coleman (Los Angeles)
Ben Ferrer (Philippines/Los Angeles)
Yu Madea (Japan)
Adia Millett (Oakland)
Farah Sosa (Los Angeles) and
Marley Van Peebles (Los Angeles)
The ONE PEACE exhibit will raise funds and awareness for several 4mamaearth initiatives including ALTER: An after-school arts & writing program in South Los Angeles and SOUL4SOLE: Donating shoes for dance, sport or play to those in need.
SCHEDULE:
SATURDAY, JUNE 21st
Exhibit open to the public from 11am – 5:30pm
SOUNDLAB* at the Gallery from 6pm – 10pm featuring live perfomance from Kenton Chen, Godfrey at Large and Nia Andrews/
*The SOUNDLAB is a charity concert series of intimate and acoustic singer-songwriter performances presented by GreenRoots Presents and m.a.m.a. earth that’s featured artists like Bruno Mars, Jacob Luttrell and Andy Allo, We’ll bring a taste of The SOUNDLAB to the gallery on Saturday night!
SUNDAY, JUNE 22nd
Family Day from 11am to 4pm.
Live music from The Concentr8s at 12pm
Live music and dance from L’Esprit d’Afrique at 2pm
