About Mina: Mina is a girl from Hamburg, Germany, with Afghan roots. She leads an Amnesty
International Youth Group and she is one of Plant-for-the-Planet‘s Climate Justice
Ambassadors, a worldwide network that spreads our vision of climate justice and global
citizenship to our schools, families and friends.
She is leading the way in developing the idea of creating m.a.m.a. e a r t h chapters
around the world. This year, she has already raised nearly $700 (usd) for m.a.m.a. e a r t h
programs and she is only 14 years old! Sheʼs raised the money with bake sales, flea
markets and making seed packets. Young people like Mina show us that helping others has no age requirement and doesnʼt take a lot of money – only the motivation and commitment it takes to follow our hearts and complete a task. In the future, she’d like to host a ‘Hooligans jewlery evening’ and will organize a information and
donation point at shopping malls and so much more!

Mina kommt aus Hamburg und hat afghanische Wurzeln. Sie leitet eine Amnesty International Jugendgruppe und sie ist eine von Plant-for-the-Planet‘s Botschafterinnen für Klimagerechtigkeit, welche sich zum Ziel gesetzt haben, eine Million Bäume in jedem Land der Erde zu pflanzen. Sie ist uns wirklich eine große Unterstützung beim Entwickeln von m.a.m.a. earth Kapitel. Dieses Jahr hat sie bereits knapp $ 700 (usd) für m.a.m.a. earth Veranstaltungen und Programme gesammelt obwohl sie ist erst 14 Jahre alt ist! Spenden hat Mina unteranderem durch Kuchenverkäufe, Flohmärkte und Pflanzenpäckchen gesammelt. „Leute müssen anfangen sich selbst zu engagieren, ansatt rumzumeckern.“ findet sie. Junge Menschen wie Mina zeigen uns, dass das Alter und viel Geld keine Rolle spielen, wenn man anderen helfen will. Allein Motivation und die Bereitschaft unseren Herzen zu folgen können uns dies ermöglichen. In Zukunft wird Mina einen Hooligans Schmuckabend veransalten, wird Infostände in Hamburger Einkaufszentren betreiben und vieles mehr!
