Pinksick and the Power of Art

Prolific Artist, Shah Wonders of Pinksick.com

Since 2007, m.a.m.a. e a r t h has been using art, music and popular culture to raise awareness and funds for local and global causes.  For m.a.m.a. e a r t h’s current fundraising campaign, we’ve commissioned original artwork by Grammy and MTV award winning, Brooklyn-based graphic artist, Shah Wonders.  Shah boasts a client list that includes the likes of Nike, Adidas, Tyra Banks, Scion and Russel Simmons. Weaving his skills in a range of mediums, his style lends itself to the mashing of traditional illustration, Japanese Anime and “Pop Extravagance”.  He’s created iconic images of some of the biggest celebrities including John Lennon, Jay Z, Muhammad Ali and Lil’ Wayne.  For this collaboration with m.a.m.a. e a r t h, we are showcasing an incredible piece Shah did just for our supporters!

m.a.m.a. e a r t h founder Jaime Kailani Bayot says, “We wanted to show our gratitude for all of amazing people who are showing their support for our project from places like Dubai, Europe, South America, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Canada and more.”  We started with an idea to use our gifts to make a difference and never dreamed about how far and wide our message might travel.

"Love Grows"

The money raised through this campaign will help m.a.m.a. e a r t h provide: 1. low-cost and  free nature based education classes for kids and adults in the U.S. and abroad, 2. more art and music charity events in partnership with local, national and international non-profits and 3. help educate more families about direct ways to give back to children in developing nations.

We are proud to say that since 2007, the m.a.m.a. e a r t h team has raised funds and contributed to non-profit organizations including Nourish the Children, Shine on Sierra Leone, Yayasan Bumi Sehat, Ashinaga, Earthroots Field School, Ecofficiency, The Positive Plate, The Grain Project, Center for Living Peace, Kid Healthy, Second Harvest Food Bank, Flying Kites, Girl Scouts, Girls Inc and Volunteers of America, Aveson Charter School, Truly Living Well Natural Urban Farms and Tuskegee Institute. We are very proud of our contributions to our local and global communities and we are dedicated to growing the scope of our work.
