The m.a.m.a. earth team is getting some much-needed rest this holiday season to recharge for the new year but we couldn’t resist sharing this sweet story of a mama and daughter doing their part to make a change for the better.
m.a.m.a. earth is a non-profit, cooperative organization, based in Los Angeles, that began in 2007 with the intention to do good and to create opportunities for others to do good – locally and globally. Since those humble beginnings, m.a.m.a. earth has hosted countless charity concerts in Los Angeles and put together all-ages enrichment classes about our 3 pillars: Art, Music & Nature, while raising money for hardworking charities like Volunteers of America, Mother Health International and Earthroots Field School, to name a few. What has amazed us has been the outpouring of love from people all over the world. Did you know a recent blog post of m.a.m.a. earth was read in more than 39 countries?!? Young people have formed chapters of m.a.m.a. earth in Germany, the Philippines, Brazil, Chile and are organizing projects that raise money, toys and clothing for those in need.
Recently, a mama named Rebecca Parisi contacted us about her project with her 10 year old daughter, Isabella, called Sparkled Designs, a candle fundraiser to help raise money for charities like Child Crisis Center and Community Food Bank of Arizona. The intention of both mother and daughter is to help create better possibilities for children and families around the world and in local communities. 
Sparkled Designs offers highly fragrant and long burning candles with lead free wicks that are hand-poured with pride in the USA. All of the paper packaging and labels are made from recycled materials and the gift boxes are 100% recycled paper. Each candle that is purchased will include a package of 6 note cards designed with creative artwork from 10 year old, Isabella. With every purchase, Sparkled Designs is donating 25% of the net proceeds to help a child in need this year. We are so proud of you Rebecca and Isabella for creating something beautiful in the name of helping others!
