Happy 80th Birthday, Dalai Lama!

m.a.m.a. earth is so honored to continue to be an affiliate of the non-profit community hub called Center for Living Peace (in Irvine, California), alongside the likes of Pacific Symphony, The Ecology Center and Girl Scouts. For 5 years, we have been proud to present all-age classes to inspire creativity and vision on subjects including Healing Crystals, Percussion, Metal-Work, Afro-Cuban Dance and so much more. We are so grateful to all of the instructors that have contributed to our classes – world-renowned dancer Kimberly Miguel Mullen, master percussionist Richard Marquez, international urban farmer, Eugene Cooke and the list goes on. Center for Living Peace has hosted some of the most amazing people on the planet – Jane Goodall, Queen Noor of Jordan, Charlize Theron, Eboo Patel and more. We are in AMAZING company and look forward to continuing our partnership with Center for Living Peace as they continue their growth and commitment to making good happen on this planet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On July 5-7, The Global Compassion Summit took place in Southern California; a celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s lifetime of devotion to the work of spreading the message of the value of peace, kindness and universal compassion throughout the world.

Venerable Lama Tenzin Dhonden, the Personal Emissary for Peace to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, organized the Official World Celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 80th Birthday in partnership with Friends of the Dalai Lama, UC Irvine and (m.a.m.a. earth partners) Center for Living Peace.  The m.a.m.a. earth family is look attended 3 days of events that highlighted the different areas in which His Holiness has had great impact on bringing compassion to the world. The summit and birthday celebration featured a shared stage and dialogue amongst dear friends of His Holiness, fellow Nobel Laureates and professional experts with whom he has collaborated and shares common values toward the achievement of Universal Peace.

Leading up to the Global Compassion Summit, honoring the 80th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, two monks visiting from the Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, India created a Sand Mandala on the University of California, Irvine campus. The process started on the morning of June 24th and is was completed on July 3rd.

The m.a.m.a. earth family is so honored and pleased to be invited by Center for Living Peace to participate in The Compassion Summit.
